Loaned to AS Rome by PSG, Renato Sanches continues to suffer physical problems and struggles to assert himself.

After a completely failed transition to Paris Saint Germain last season, Renato Sanches planned to relaunch in Italy by joining theAS Roma. Still hampered by repeated injuries, the Portuguese international is still unable to string together matches and has only played nine games on the other side of the Alps, for a starving total of 224 minutes played with the Giallorossi.

The nightmare continues

But after Bayern Munich, Swansea and Paris, the 26-year-old seems destined for another failure, and only his time at Lille appears like a ray of sunshine in a career where grayness reigns. Entering the Bologna pitch at half-time last Sunday, the former Parisian was taken out barely 20 minutes later for no apparent reason by José Mourinho, who has already expressed his dissatisfaction with his compatriot.

Who also seems determined to erase all traces of his time at the Louve club on social networks after his non-call-up for the match against Naples. On his Instagram account, Sanches has in fact removed the links linking him to AS Roma as well as his profile photo. For now, he has left a few photos with the Roman jersey, but this new episode could mark a definitive break between the player and the club. As a reminder, the current 5th in Serie A will automatically have to buy the Portuguese midfielder if he plays more than 55% of the season’s matches, which means that his chances of returning to the French capital are growing every week.
