The rebirth of Richarlison

While Son Heung-Min will soon go to the Asian Cup, Richarlison shook the nets for the third meeting in a row, during the victory against Everton (2-1) on Saturday in the Premier League.

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham is doing much better. Spurs scored a third consecutive success in the Premier League when Everton visited North London on Saturday afternoon for the 18th day. They take fourth place from Manchester City, who had their match against Brentford postponed due to the Club World Cup.

From the start, Richarlison opened the scoring for Tottenham, springing well on a cross from Brennan Johnson (9th). The Brazilian striker found the net again and thus continues his third match with at least one goal (he scored twice against Newcastle). His presence will be important from mid-January, when Son Heung-Min is away at the Asian Nations Cup. The South Korean precisely doubled the lead ten minutes later (18th), for his 11th goal.

The Spurs then had no control over the second half and could have been caught behind after André Gomes’ goal 10 minutes from time (82nd). The Toffees of Idrissa Gueye (out with muscle injury) are 16th.
