The division of labor. This is essential information when discussing the professional world and the efficiency of a company. At Paris Saint-Germain, the weight of the past seems to have instilled a new dynamic. Far from the artistic vagueness – already seen in recent seasons – in the organization chart of the capital club, the current leader of Ligue 1 is today more structured. Symbol of this progress? The relationship, yet so feared, maintained between Luis Enrique, coach of the Rouge et Bleu, and Luis Campos, sports advisor to the reigning French champions. Renowned for their assertive character and their desire to impose their ideas, the Spaniard and the Portuguese enjoy, as such, a generally healthy cohabitation.

In this context, The Team recalls, this Saturday morning, that the two men, who had already crossed paths in the past, have mutual respect, without being friends. Aware of their respective CVs, the two Parisian leaders maintain, however, only strictly professional relations but respect their field of action. A clarity allowing, today, Parisians to evolve in a more peaceful environment and far removed from the setbacks experienced at the time of the duo Thomas Tuchel – Antero Henrique (then Leonardo). Thus, the French daily reveals, in its today’s edition, the recipe for this observed agreement and the behind the scenes are quite simple: everyone has their own land.

Luis Campos has refocused on the transfer window!

Focused on the competition part, Luis Enrique, who does not want “do politics”, then personally takes care of the style of play, tactical organization, team compositions and even training sessions. Helped by his staff, the former La Roja coach gives the orders but must not manage possible pressure from Luis Campos. Although he remains close to the professional group, the former AS Monaco advisor no longer has the same posture as under the Christophe Galtier era. A lesser involvement in the choices of the winner of the 2015 Champions League which would now make it impossible to repeat the scene experienced on February 19 against Lille (4-3) where Campos did not hesitate to go down in the staff area to support Galtier…

Focused on the transfer window, the native of Esposende manages the evolution of the sporting project, without the slightest influence from Luis Enrique (although the latter mentioned the name of Arnau Tenas because he wanted an excellent goalkeeper at the foot ). In close collaboration with Nasser al-Khelaïfi, the 59-year-old leader is, as such, at the origin of this “younger workforce, more French and less ‘bling-bling’”. Very active when the transfer market opens its doors, the Portuguese targets needs, multiplies proposals and sniffs out good deals. The rest of the year and like his recent invitation to the Sorbonne economics school, he travels, supervises and meets. Attached to their respective tasks, the two men nevertheless find themselves around certain subjects, such as discipline. The Team specifies, in this sense, that they are capable of organizing a three-way meeting with a player to discuss these questions. A distribution of tasks that has until now been efficient and beneficial for PSG…
