While recovering from a rupture of the external lateral ligament in his right knee, Eduardo Camavinga chose Los Angeles to spend a few days of vacation. The French international from Real Madrid is accompanied by Vinicius.

For Christmas and New Year’s Eve, Eduardo Camavinga did not return to Brittany, and more precisely to Fougères, the town where he grew up, 40 minutes from Rennes. The French international from Real Madrid treated himself to a little vacation in Los Angeles, where the sun is always there. “Cama” attended the NFL meeting between the Rams and the Saints, Thursday evening in the ultra-modern SoFi Stadium (70,000 seats).

On Friday, the midfielder reunited with his Madrid teammate Vinicius for a training session, taking advantage of the Los Angeles Galaxy facilities. The 21-year-old left-hander is in the process of re-athleting after suffering a rupture of the external lateral ligament in his right knee on November 15 during training with the France team. He will return to competition in a few weeks.

Camavinga is obviously very friendly with Vinicius, since he joined him in Rio de Janeiro last July. The Brazilian winger stopped in Oklahoma City to attend an NBA match between the Thunder and the Clippers. He was able to meet new superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren, Victor Wembanyama’s rival in the race for the Rookie of the Year title.

Carlo Ancelotti’s Merengues, leaders of La Liga tied with Girona, were released for a short week after their victory against Alavés (0-1) on Thursday, and will resume on January 3 against Mallorca.
