Like its clear and flawless success against FC Porto (2-0) last weekend, Sporting Portugal is in full swing in the league. Certainly, the Lusitanian team has in its ranks a Viktor Gyökeres on fire to establish its supremacy at the top of the Liga Portugal standings. At the same time, the Leos can also boast of having a particularly tight defense (15 goals conceded). As such, Gonçalo Inácio is far from being a stranger to his team’s defensive success. Trained at the club, the Portuguese defender is exploding in the eyes of the whole of Europe and has a string of notable performances with his team. So much so that some teams are starting to seriously look into his case.

According to The Sun, the new Portuguese international (5 caps) is on Arsenal’s shelves. Faced with several injuries within his rearguard, like Jurrien Timber or Takehiro Tomiyasu, the current Premier League leader could potentially strengthen this sector with the arrival of the 21-year-old player. But to snatch him from Sporting, the London club will have to break the bank since the release clause for the Lusitanian, under contract with the Leoes until 2027, is estimated at just under €60 million. An amount which deserves reflection, especially since Sporting, taking into account the popularity of its protégé on the Old Continent, does not intend to lower its price.
