French coach Bruno Genésio has struggled to find a new job since his dismissal from Rennes.
While he was eager to bounce back quickly after his dismissal from Rennes, Bruno Genésio is having difficulty “selling” himself at the moment. In France or abroad, we are not necessarily seduced by his business card.
Genésio overtaken by Solskjaer
Genésio was initially announced as a potential return to Lyon, his favorite club. But the Rhone management chose to ignore it. Pierre Sage has been placed as a temporary worker and he is on track to keep his position beyond the holiday period.
On Friday, the media Foot Mercato reported that Genésio was in contact with the Besiktas Istanbul team. However, the discussions did not go far. The Turks finally preferred Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to the French technician. The former MU manager was seen at Istanbul airport on Friday.
Genesio will therefore have to be patient for a new challenge. Over time, it would still be surprising if he did not find any challenge that suited him given his achievements in the French championship. And then, he still has the distinction of having been one of the rare coaches to have given a tactical lesson to Pep Guardiola in the Champions League and away.
