Lively 50th Anniversary Celebration at Clairefontaine for the INF

The famous Institut National de Formation brought together several luminaries on Tuesday at Clairefontaine to celebrate 50 years of an enviable system. On Tuesday at 12:05, in the Fernand-Sastre auditorium at Clairefontaine, the cameras were flashing in front of a beautiful family photo that included Thierry Henry, Arsène Wenger, Didier Deschamps, Kylian Mbappé, and Marcus Thuram. They all posed to “celebrate excellence” in French training and to mark the 50th anniversary of the national training institute (INF).

In the front row, Aimé Jacquet (81 years old), legendary coach of the 1998 world champions, came specially from the Annecy region for the occasion, chatting with his former assistant Roger Lemerre (82 years old), the champion of Euro 2000. The reunions were touching, with a few visible tears and many hugs for the over six hundred guests from the FFF present despite the rain in the iconic castle.

Among the crowd were former trainees from all generations, such as Jean-Pierre Papin, the only French Ballon d’Or winner (1991) to come from the INF, Jean-Luc Ettori, Pascal Olmeta, and Laura Georges.
