Real manager Carlo Ancelotti did not appreciate the criticism leveled at the club’s doctors.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has defended his club’s medical staff. He is facing attacks from all sides due to the cascade of injuries facing the Merengue this season.

For Ancelotti, “injuries impossible to anticipate”

David Alaba, Eder Mlitao and Thibaut Courtois have all suffered ACL injuries this season. Defections which logically raised questions about the work of doctors and physical preparations.

For Ancelotti, this is a debate that has no place. “The cruciate ligament injury is unpredictable, we cannot predict it. This season, players who did not have knee problems have been injured, others are suffering from discomfort at this level. Muscle injuries are different. It can be many things, a heavy load, fatigue… It can be evaluated a little more, but not the cruciate ligament. We fixed it well, let’s see what happens in the second part of the season.”

The situation is problematic and there are inevitably concerns regarding the rest of the Castilians’ season. But, eternal optimist, Ancelotti wants to be reassuring. “In March or April, we can think that some will return, Militao or Courtois, if all goes well.”
