Super League: the future “Zombie League”

UEFA and Aleksander Ceferin return to the charge against the Super League.

Aleksander Ceferin, the president of UEFA, reacted with virulence to the court decision authorizing the holding of the Football Super League.

During a press conference given this Thursday, December 21, the European football leader took the liberty of being ironic. “I hope they start their fantastic competition as soon as possible, with two clubs.” Ceferin, however, affirmed that UEFA would do nothing to prevent the project from coming to fruition. “We are not going to try to stop them,” he said.

The Slovenian also showed a certain humor when discussing the criticism of the Super League in the English press. “I saw press articles today from English supporters calling it “The Zombie League”, they can create whatever they want,” he said, before adding: “Football is not for sale.
