Traveling to the Norwegians in Brann this Thursday, as part of the 4th day of the Champions League, the OL players conceded a draw (2-2). However, they remain at the top of their group.

While they remained on three successes in as many matches, in their Champions League group, the Lyonnaises conceded their first points Thursday evening, during a trip to SK Brann. For this fourth day of the group stage of the competition, OL were held to a failure (2-2). And yet, everything started perfectly.

In less than a quarter of an hour, Sonia Bompastor’s charges were already leading 0-2, thanks to the achievements of Amel Majri (6th) and Ada Hegerberg (13th). Then things started to go wrong. First with the reduction of the gap for the team based in Bergen, through Justine Kielland (1-2, 34th). In the second half, the severe expulsion of Lindsey Horan (52nd) with a direct red continued to weaken the Lyonnaises.

Already in quarters

And it was finally in stoppage time that Lyon was caught, with a goal from Signe Gaupset (2-2, 90th+4). Despite this draw, the partners of Wendie Renard, injured and absent this evening, are already assured of being present in the quarter-finals of this Champions League.
