Purchased from AS Roma for 2.5 million euros, Nemanja Matic agreed to sign up for two seasons with Stade Rennais. To justify such a scenario, the media explained that Nemanja Matic would not at all appreciate the current situation of his team, completely left behind in the race for the Champions League and not much better positioned to try to win a very small European ticket (Rennes is 10th, eight points from 6th place occupied by OM). The departure of Bruno Genesio, associated with the uncertainty around Florian Maurice, would also be in question.
