Transferred this summer to the Qatari club Al-Arabi, Marco Verratti would be in the sights of a European big name for this winter transfer window.

After having defended the colors of PSG for twelve years, Marco Verratti packed his bags this summer, pushed out by the Parisian leaders, to join Al-Arabi for the sum of 45 million euros. But after just a few months spent in Qatar, the 31-year-old midfielder could make his comeback in Europe.

According to the daily Sport, the “Little Owl” would appear on the shelves of FC Barcelona, in search of a midfielder this winter to compensate for the long absence of Gavi, victim of a “complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee and an associated injury to the external meniscus” and package for the rest of the season. But the file promises to be complex for the Blaugrana, financially limited. This is why a loan would be under study.

Verratti or Rabiot?

Another player in Barça’s crosshairs: Adrien Rabiot. The French international sees his contract with Juventus Turin end on June 30. However, a direct transfer this winter of the former Parisian would be difficult to envisage, the Old Lady still hoping to succeed in convincing the “Duke” to come back. An extension of an additional season is even mentioned by the Italian press.
