Brazilian superstar Neymar has posted a video showing him screaming in pain during an intensive rehabilitation session as he recovers from anterior cruciate ligament surgery.

Neymar is on the comeback road after undergoing anterior cruciate ligament surgery in November. The Brazil international provided an update on his progress, showing that the journey has been painful so far.

The footage shows Neymar screaming in pain and crying at times during a particularly intense rehabilitation session. The Al-Hilal star’s caption is also revealing, as he admits to spending “a month crying and in a lot of pain.”

Neymar is not expected to return to competition until August 2024. The Brazilian team doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, confirmed that the striker will miss next summer’s Copa América tournament and warned against a hasty return from such a serious injury. Neymar joined Saudi club Al-Hilal in the summer, but has only made five appearances for his new club so far.

Neymar will now continue his rehabilitation, but he risks another long period of unavailability. The Brazilian has previously said his current injury is “the worst” after experiencing physical problems throughout his career. He will attempt to make his comeback with Al-Hilal in August 2024, provided his recovery goes as planned.
