FC Barcelona struggled this Wednesday to defeat Almeria at home (3-2). Sergi Roberto was the hero of the match with a double scored.
FC Barcelona can breathe. The Spanish champion ended his series of missteps by winning against the bottom of the La Liga standings, Almeria. But it was hard. The Catalans had to draw on their resources and without a double from captain Sergi Roberto the result would have been very different.
Barça wins with forceps

At 2-2, Barça pushed to get the victory. Ilkay Gundogan had the best opportunity to secure the victory but he missed the inevitable one meter from the goals (78). In the end, it was Sergi Roberto who turned into a hero by placing leather between the legs of the opposing goalkeeper.
FC Barcelona has therefore managed to stop the negative spiral. This victory, even snatched by forceps, will ease the pressure on Xavi’s shoulders. The latter couldn’t dream of a better Christmas present from his troops.
