OM-OL: Prison for one of the supporters

Following the incidents during the OM-OL match in October, a Lyon supporter was given a six-month suspended prison sentence.

The match which was to take place between theOlympic Marseille and theOlympique Lyonnais on October 29 at the Stade Vélodrome had been postponed due to the rocking of the Lyon players’ bus by OM supporters near the stadium. This incident led to serious facial injuries for former OL coach Fabio Grosso.

Six months suspended sentence

But the Phocaeans are not the only ones targeted by justice after this evening’s disaster. This Tuesday, the Marseille criminal court sentenced a Lyon supporter to six months of suspended prison time and an equal period of stadium ban, as explained The Team.

This 28-year-old man was part of the bus of Les Gones supporters, also targeted by projectiles. When leaving the bus, he uttered insults and hit CRS who were trying to separate the two groups of supporters. On January 16, the two supporters who made Nazi salutes at the Vélodrome will also be judged.
