Nottingham Forest thanks Steve Cooper

His departure became more and more inevitable as the weeks went by. 17th in the Premier League, Nottingham Forest had to part ways with Steve Cooper. In post since 2021 on the Tricky Trees bench, the 44-year-old Welsh coach was officially dismissed this Tuesday by the English team.

The club also issued a sober press release to announce the news: “Steve Cooper was today relieved of his duties as head coach of Nottingham Forest, after more than two years in charge. We thank Steve for his dedication and commitment during his time with us, and for the incredible bond he has forged with our supporters and the city of Nottingham.» According to the English press, Nuno Espirito Santo is on pole to take over.
