Javier Zanetti, vice-president of Inter Milan, had to deal with a small mishap before the draw for the round of 16 of the Champions League.
Javier Zanetti had a big scare this Monday, at UEFA headquarters in Nyon. The former Argentinian international defender and current vice-president of Inter Milan forgot his accreditation for the draw for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Upon his arrival, the ancient glory of Nerazzurri was turned away by a security guard, who was inflexible. The ex-Argentine international tried to reason with the security guard, but without success. The situation began to get tense, and the incident could have escalated if Zanetti had not ultimately managed to convince the security guard to let him pass.

The former San Siro resident was, however, able to attend the draw during which he saw his former team inherit Atlético Madrid. The Serie A club, unfortunate finalist of the previous edition against Manchester City, will have a lot to do to qualify for the quarter-finals of the premier competition of Europe.
