A nice autumn champion in Ligue 2

Thanks to a 10th goal from Loïs Diony, Tuesday against Guingamp, Angers takes the lead after the first phase of the Ligue 2 season, with two points more than AJ Auxerre, also winner. AS Saint-Etienne has revived and is four points behind 5th place.

Before Ligue 1 on Wednesday, it was the first leg of Ligue 2 which delivered its verdict on Tuesday evening, with all 10 matches taking place simultaneously. The opportunity for Angers SCO and AJ Auxerre to conclude with a new victory, respectively against Guingamp (1-0, thanks to the 10th goal from Loïs Diony) and Laval (1-3, with the ninth goal from Gauthier Eh !). The Angevins are autumn champions with two points more than the Burgundians.

In the ranking, then come Grenoble and Laval tied for third place. The GF38 takes the podium following a success in Concarneau (0-3, double from Pape Meïssa Ba). Pau FC slowed down, with a draw against Troyes (1-1) and a 5th in danger. AS Saint-Etienne finally won, when SC Bastia came to Geoffroy-Guichard (3-2), and finds itself four points from this 5th place synonymous with a play-off (against 4th).

The Girondins de Bordeau also found the taste of victory to end the year, winning against the penultimate, Dunkerque (0-2). Scorer Zan Vipotnik reassures himself with a fourth goal. FCGB is only 13th, nine lengths from 5th place, with only three points more than the first relegation, Annecy. Valenciennes is dead last, with a 10th defeat in 19 matches…
