Determined to strengthen in central defense, PSG is on the verge of finalizing the arrival of a young Brazilian.

Solid leader of Ligue 1 and qualified for the round of 16 of the Champions League with a lenient draw as the French champions inherited Real Sociedad, PSG has overall negotiated its first half of the season very well. However, Parisian leaders intend to take advantage of the winter transfer window to strengthen themselves. However, the capital club had already been particularly active this summer, with around ten arrivals.

But certain areas of play suggest shortcomings. This is particularly the case in midfield where the squad is considered a little tight, and in defense, where Presnel Kimpembe and Nuno Mendes, on the flank since the start of the season, are slow to return. To protect themselves, the Parisian leaders would like to recruit a new central defender. And according to Foot Mercato, the file is already on the verge of being completed.

PSG would have set its sights on a young 20-year-old Brazilian, Lucas Beraldo, one of the most promising players of his generation. Despite his age, he is already a starter in Sao Paulo where he won the Brazilian Cup and also plays with the Brazilian U20s. The Parisians would have submitted a first offer of 20 million euros, accompanied by five million bonuses, and his transfer would almost be a given, according to his agent, expected in the capital in the coming days. His medical examination could also be quickly scheduled, even if Sao Paulo has obviously not given up on keeping his player on loan until this summer.
