Rennes-Milan, bad news for the Bretons

The Breton club is decidedly unlucky with the scheduling of its Europa League matches.

Rennes supporters are unfortunately used to it… The Europa League return play-off between Stade Rennais and AC Milan will be played at 6:45 p.m. on February 22.

During this European campaign, Rennes played four matches out of six at 6:45 p.m., one of its matches having been postponed because it was played against Maccabi Haifa. Above all, the Bretons played their three home matches at this time which is far from ideal for spectators going to the stadium.

For the play-off, Rennes had a 50/50 chance of playing their match at Roazhon Park at 6:45 p.m., and the coin fell on the wrong side. The first leg at San Siro, on the other hand, will take place at 9 p.m.

The schedule of French clubs in the Europa League:

Go, Thursday February 15

Shakhtar Donetsk-OM, in Hamburg (6:45 p.m.)
Benfica-Toulouse (9 p.m.)
Milan-Rennes (9 p.m.)
Lens-Fribourg (9 p.m.)

Return, Thursday February 22
Rennes-Milan (6:45 p.m.)
Toulouse-Benfica (6:45 p.m.)
Fribourg-Lens (6:45 p.m.)
