OM are eyeing an undesirable Arsenal player

Marseille management is studying the possibility of recruiting a player in need of playing time at Arsenal.

Olympique de Marseille are interested in Fabio Vieira, the Arsenal midfielder. A deal could be possible as soon as the transfer window opens.

OM want an additional midfielder

The British daily The Sun claims that OM contacted Arsenal to inquire about the availability of the Portuguese international hopeful.

Marseille are reportedly looking to secure the midfielder on loan in January and until the end of the current season. Vieira could be open to a change of scenery, he who is struggling to convince Mikel Arteta.

This season, the former Porto player has only started 3 times in all competitions (13 matches played in total). And in terms of cumulative minutes on the field (416), he is only 18e most used player in the entire London squad.

Marseille and Arsenal are used to doing business together. Players like Matteo Guendouzi, William Saliba and Nuno Tavares having moved from one club to another in recent years. There was also Robert Pirès in the more distant past (in 2000).
