So it’s official today: Paris Saint-Germain will face Real Sociedad in the round of 16 of the Champions League. The first leg will be played on February 14 at the Parc des Princes and the return on March 5 at Anoeta. A duel in which the Asian Cup (organized in Qatar) could play a role. Initially scheduled for June 16 to July 16, 2023, the competition was postponed from January 12 to February 10, 2024.

A tournament in which the South Korean from PSG Kang-in Lee and the Japanese from Real Sociedad Takefusa Kubo will surely participate. And if one of the two (or both) goes to the final, not sure that he will be 100% for the round of 16 first leg. In any case, this is what the Basques fear, because Kubo has much more influence in the game of Txuri Urdin (15 goals, 13 assists in 67 matches) than Lee in that of PSG (2 goals, 1 assist in 14 matches). Finally, the African Cup of Nations (January 13-February 11) could also pose a problem for PSG. If Achraf Hakimi goes all the way with Morocco, the final will be played on February 11 and the full-back could therefore also be missing.
