As part of the 15th day of the Bundesliga, Friborg hosted FC Cologne on its lawn. Undefeated since the end of November, Christian Streich’s men were aiming for three points in order to get back into contact with European places after a delicate start to the season. Experiencing all the difficulties in the world to get out of the red zone, the Goats showed up at the Europa Park Stadion with doubts in their heads. But against all expectations, the visitors showed great resistance against a very offensive Friborg team.

Finally, Steffen Baumgart’s charges broke down shortly after the hour mark. Warned for the second time in the game, Jeff Chabot left his partners ten against eleven. In numerical superiority, Friborg took advantage and relied on Michael Gregoritsch, in full swing these days, to break the opposing barrier (1-0, 72nd). In added time, Roland Sallai came to definitively seal the victory for his team (2-0, 90th + 5). As a result, Friborg climbs to sixth place while Cologne remains stuck in sixteenth place, tied on points with the first non-relegation team, Union Berlin.
