This is for the moment the big surprise of this 16th day of Ligue 1. This Saturday evening, Le Havre largely won in front of its supporters against OGC Nice with a score of 3 goals to 1. A scathing success from Le Havre who are doing a great job.

Luka Elsner’s men have tamed the Niçois and temporarily take 9th place in the standings with a total of 19 points.

For its part, it is an unexpected setback for the Aiglons. Francesco Farioli’s players, although impressive defensively since the start of the year, were dominated tactically and technically by a great HAC team which seized all its opportunities.

The Niçois are not taking advantage of AS Monaco’s defeat against Olympique Lyonnais this Friday evening to widen the gap (0-1) and could also see Paris Saint-Germain escape the rankings in the event of a victory this Sunday in Lille.

Emmanuel Sabbi clinical and untenable

Before the match, Le Havre was on a series of two consecutive defeats, the last of which came in stoppage time on the pitch of Racing Club de Strasbourg.

From the start of the match, the HAC players put both feet in the game by putting Danté’s partners in difficulty. Emmanuel Sabbi took advantage of a blunder by Marcin Bulka following a shot from Bayo to surprise the Niçois and push the ball with his left foot into the back of the net (1-0.5).

Despite possession of the ball and opportunities, OGC Nice was not there and was unable to thwart the opposing team’s block.

Shortly before the end of the first act, Emanuel Sabbi will do it again by scoring a splendid goal. Mohamed Bayo sends a deep cross for his attacking partner. The number 11 controls his ball perfectly with his left foot before curling his shot on the opposite side which lodged in Bulka’s left corner. Gorgeous.

Mohamed Bayo drives home the point after returning from the locker room

Not satisfied with his team’s first period, Francesco Farioli attempted a tactical move by bringing in Morgan Sanson after the locker room in place of Youssouf Ndayishimiye. However, Nice is directly cold picked.

Loic Nego is pushed into the area by Melvin Bard and obtains a penalty for his team which was transformed by Mohamed Bayo. The number 9 did not tremble and easily wrong-footed Marcin Bulka to score the 4th goal of the season in Ligue 1.

This third goal from Le Havre will open up the match even more, which will go from one goal to the other but without however hitting the mark. The expulsions at the end of the match of Jean-Clair Todibo and Samuel Grandsir as well as the goal of Tom Louchet (3-1.90) will not change anything.
