France is one of only two countries not to have had any eliminated during the autumn phase of the European Cups.

The group stage of the various European cups ended on Wednesday evening. While waiting for the draw for the next rounds, it is now time to take stock. And taking a look at the results recorded, one observation stands out: none of the French clubs involved on the continental scene have found themselves outside for the moment.

France continues to be ahead of the Netherlands

There were 6 of them on the starting line and they are all still in the race. Not necessarily in the event in which they were engaged, since RC Lens was transferred to C2, but the main thing is that they are all involved in a continental competition. Paris in the Champions League, Toulouse, Rennes, Marseille and therefore Lens in C3, as well as Lille in C4 will continue to represent Ligue 1 outside our borders next February.

Note that among the top 20 nations in the UEFA index, only Italy managed to qualify all its representatives for the rest of the events (7/7). On the other hand, England, Spain and Germany all saw at least one of their teams disappear.

Thursday evening was not necessarily favorable to French clubs. Despite this, France preserves its 5e place in the ranking. The one which allows it to have 4 teams in the Champions League from next season (3+1 play-off). With 62,164 points collected, our country continues to be ahead of the Netherlands (5ewith 59900).
