After having notably coached Real Madrid, Chelsea and Inter Milan, José Mourinho revealed the XI of the best players he has had under his command.

Twenty-three years after his debut as head coach on the Benfica bench, José Mourinho has enjoyed more than two decades of success and more complicated times. It was notably on the bench of Chelsea, but also of Inter Milan, FC Porto and Real Madrid, that the “Special One” experienced his hours of glory. Now working for AS Roma, the Portuguese took the opportunity to go back a little to compose the eleven players he preferred to coach during his career. Two French people were elected.

José Mourinho spoke to Obi One Podcast during a program which will be broadcast on December 18. But the media therefore made the mouths of its listeners water by publishing this Thursday the famous “dream XI” of the Portuguese. Unsurprisingly, a very large majority of Chelsea FC players make up this team. In front of the cage, Petr Cech. In a system organized in 4-3-3, the defense is made up (from right to left) of the former Inter player, Javier Zanetti, then three ex-Blues, John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho and William Gallas.

Ronaldo, obviously

In midfield, Frank Lampard and Claude Makélélé. Then a Mesut Özil that Mourinho trained at Real Madrid. In attack, the tactician obviously selected Cristiano Ronaldo with whom he associated Eden Hazard, while Didier Drogba was placed at the forefront. A kick-ass XI!
