Olympique de Marseille travels to Brighton this Thursday for the 6th day of the group stage of the Europa League (9 p.m.). Here is the expected lineup for OM.

Whatever the result obtained in Brighton on Thursday evening, Olympique de Marseille will have the assurance of still being on the European scene next spring. The Marseille club plays first place in its group against the British team.

A draw or victory would allow them to maintain this leading position, synonymous with direct qualification for the round of 16 of the Europa League. In the event of a setback against the English, OM will have to go through the sixteenth box. It remains to be seen which eleven will show up this Thursday.

Gennaro Gattuso has found a suitable system for the expression of his players. While Olympique de Marseille are finally winning a series of victories, it seems unlikely to imagine a new change of animation for such an important match, especially since the Italian also uses this scheme in Ligue 1.

Gattuso keeps the same system but…

OM should therefore keep their 3-5-2. But in the choice of men, uncertainty looms for several positions. The pistons, first, where a rotation is possible with the possibility of using Murillo, in place of Clauss or Lodi on one of the two flanks. In midfield, then, where Kondogbia is expected in the eleven to make his return.

For the rest, Marseille should rely on its usual frameworks. The Vitinha-Aubameyang tandem is called upon to continue, as is the three-way defense Mbemba-Gigot-Balerdi.

The expected lineup for OM : Lopez – Mbemba, Gigot (c), Balerdi – Clauss or Murillo, Veretout, Kondogbia, Harit, Lodi or Murillo – Vitinha, Aubameyang
