Ferdinand and Rooney were two of the fundamental pillars of Manchester United during a glorious era of the British club. Indeed, the former central defender revealed in a podcast that Rooney was “the worst teammate” he played with during his football career.
“I think I probably had the most rows with Wayne Rooney to be honest. We never came to blows, it was on the ground. We actually never argued in practice, it was just game day, we were probably arguing every two or three plays, yelling at each other. He’s the worst teammate I’ve ever had. He knew what he was good at and that he could do more. I wish it was more efficient. He loved football so much that he wanted to play football like he was playing in a park, and we were arguing.”declared the former defender.
