This summer, Tottenham were very desperate for their left-back position. Eager to strengthen themselves in this position which has often been lacking for the Spurs in the past, the latter then got their hands on Destiny Udogie. Only 21 years old, the former Udinese player got everyone in agreement from the start. The Italian international (2 caps) has 2 assists and 1 goal in 14 appearances with the London club and fit perfectly into Ange Postecoglou’s offensive playing philosophy.

Obviously, Tottenham wanted to arm their new darling. It was done this Tuesday as the current fifth in the Premier League announced in a press release: “We are delighted to announce that Destiny Udogie has signed a new contract with the Club which runs until the summer of 2030. Arriving at the Club ahead of the current campaign, he made his competitive debut in August 2023 against Brentford and since made 14 appearances in our colors to date. An integral part of the team’s attacking style of football, the 21-year-old left-back scored his first goal for the club in a 4-1 win over Newcastle United in December 2023.»
