Brazilian striker Neymar would be inclined to leave Saudi Arabia for another destination.

Neymar has opened the door to a return to Santos. And the president of the Brazilian club Marcelo Teixeira has just indicated that the jersey bearing the number 11 awaits the former Parisian.

Neymar promises to return to Santos

This Tuesday, the Santos boss claimed that Neymar was contacted about a possible return to Vila Belmiro, despite the club’s recent relegation to the Brazilian second division.

Santos retired his number 10 shirt last week in tribute to club icon Pele, and Teixeira claims Neymar asked for the number 11 to remain free until he signs his return. In an interview with TV Santa Cecília, Teixeira said: “Yesterday I received his call. He said to me: “President, you have already withdrawn the 10 until your return to the first division, so also withdraw the 11 until my return”. I’m already happy (laughs), I’m already full of hope.”

“Ney’s” request could well be taken into consideration. Teixeira always: “We will study also removing the number 11. And we hope that Neymar will return in the future. We are waiting for the return of our star.”

Neymar began his career at Santos in 2009 and spent four years at the club before joining FC Barcelona. The Auriverde international then became the world’s most expensive player at Paris Saint-Germain, but his time in the French capital was a failure. And that’s why he was sold to Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal last summer.
