It’s only a matter of time before Sir Jim Ratcliffe gets 25% of the Manchester United club. The formalization of the takeover should not take long, for those who call themselves fans of the Red Devils. So much so that, like a supporter, he allows himself to criticize certain players during certain matches. Recently singled out for his attitude unworthy of a captain, during his team’s defeat against Bournemouth (0-3), Bruno Fernandes was warned with a yellow card for talking too much to the referee. A warning synonymous with suspension for the next day, which pits Manchester United against… Liverpool (12/17, 5:30 p.m.).

And inevitably, this lack of experience, or even control, on the part of the Portuguese proves Sir Jim Ratcliffe right, who made fun of the Mancunian captain in the book “Grit, Rigor & Humor – The INEOS Story”. “It’s a far cry from Bruno Fernandes clutching his intact face during the Liverpool debacle recently”, we can read in the book. A reference to the detestable attitude of the former Sporting player, who faked an injury against the Reds last year. A response once again in the spotlight across the Channel, while the debate around the captaincy is gaining more and more momentum in Manchester.
