Shelved at Tottenham, Hugo Lloris could be tempted by an attractive offer during the winter transfer window.

Hugo Lloris’ situation at Tottenham is complicated to say the least. Pushed towards the exit this summer, the former captain of the Blues ultimately remained in North London, he who was at one time very close to signing up with Lazio Rome. A reversal of situation which does not really benefit its leaders, who recruited Guglielmo Vicario to replace him at the start of the summer transfer window.

From then on, Lloris was moved to third in the Spurs goalkeeper hierarchy and has not played a single minute of play since the start of the season. But the 36-year-old goalkeeper, at the end of his contract on June 30, could see his situation change in the coming weeks. Indeed, the 2018 world champion retains a certain rating and his experience may interest more than one club.

One last stint in the Premier League?

The tricolor goalkeeper could even be the subject of an attractive proposition. According to information from Daily Mirror, Newcastle would have checked the name of the native of Nice for this winter. It must be said that the Magpies have lost Nick Pope to injury, who will be absent for four to six months, and would see Lloris as their ideal replacement. It now remains to be seen what the main interested party thinks, who could also decide to end his contract with Tottenham.
