Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 50th goal for the 2023 calendar year on Monday. Only Erling Haaland has done as well.
Al-Nassr qualified this Monday for the semi-finals of the Saudi King’s Cup, winning 2-5 over Al-Shabab with goals from Seko Fofana, Sadio Mané, Abdulrahman Ghareeb, Mohammed Maran and… Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 38-year-old Portuguese veteran thus found the net for the 50e times in this year 2023; a performance shared with Manchester City’s only cyborg Erling Haaland – Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappé following the two leaders with 49 and 48 goals to their name respectively.
CR7 has all the more chances of finishing the calendar year as top scorer as the Norwegian from Skyblues was injured this weekend and will no longer play in 2023. Al-Nassr still has three league matches to play between now and the end of the year – like Kane’s Bayern and Mbappé’s PSG.
