Real Madrid and Arsenal are reportedly competing to recruit a young English striker.

Satisfied with the performance produced by Jude Bellingham since his arrival at the club, Real Madrid returned to the English market with the hope of unearthing another rare gem. The Spanish club are set to beat Arsenal to the signing of Reading striker Caylan Vickers.

Real holds the new Bellingham

According to the British daily The Sun, Real intends to buy Vickers in January for an amount of €1.2 million plus bonuses. The Merengue want to pull the rug out from under the feet of the competition, embodied in particular by the Gunners. They have also observed the young prodigy this season.

The 18-year-old forward only joined the Royals last July. He made his debut in August and has since made 17 appearances and scored three goals.

Real plans to sign Vickers and make him available to Raul’s Castilla. In this way, he will be able to become more experienced in the Spanish games and thus prepare to join the first team in the future.
