In recent days, speculation has been rife about Bayern Munich’s interest in Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo.

The German champions are ready to do everything they can to sign the 24-year-old defender, who is undoubtedly one of the Catalan club’s most important players.

On Friday, we learned that Araujo had spoken with Thomas Tuchel, the Bayern coach, about a possible transfer to Bavaria. The player’s entourage has since denied this information, but Tuchel himself has spoken out on the subject.

According to Sky Germany Tuchel refused to speak directly about Araujo, but he couldn’t help but joke about the alleged phone call.

“I will not make any comment on this matter. We only talk about our players. »

“I also spoke to my mother on the phone, but there was no report on this! »

FC Barcelona will be determined to retain Araujo’s services for many years to come, although no player is untouchable due to the club’s ongoing financial problems.
