Back to basics for Luiz Gustavo

Arriving at the end of his contract at Al-Nassr, in Saudi Arabia, during the last off-season, Luiz Gustavo has not hung up his crampons yet.

Now aged 36, the former Brazilian international (40 caps) has signed for Sao Paulo FC. And this until December 2024.

“ My career has always been fueled by challenges and Sao Paulo is going to give me another one. I am happy and motivated to be part of this project. I can’t wait to have my first contact with the supporters at Morumbi Stadium », Dixit Luiz Gustavo during his brief official presentation.

Having played for Bayern and OM in his career, but also for Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg and Fenerbahçe, the experienced midfielder had not played in the country since his departure from Corinthians in 2007.
