The 8th round of the Coupe de France did not allow AS Saint-Etienne to take a break from the crisis that the legendary club is going through.

Ten French championship titles, six times winner of the Coupe de France and a C1 final (1976), AS Saint-Etienne is not nothing in the history of French football. But the Forez club does not, for the moment, have the capacity to emerge from a fairly serious crisis.

Once again in difficulty in Ligue 2 (five consecutive defeats), resulting in the dismissal of coach Laurent Battles during the week, the Greens were unable to grab the lifeline represented by the 8th round of the Coupe de France.

On the contrary, the Stéphanois now led by Laurent Huard, sank again at home, Saturday against Nîmes (0-1), resident of National. Nothing is going well anymore.
