Parisian coach Luis Enrique admitted that the opposition against BVB is already monopolizing his mind and that of his flock.

Paris did not have the best match of the year, this Saturday against Nantes. But that didn’t stop him from winning (2-1). Thanks to a goal from Kolo Muani, scored five minutes from time, the French champions pocketed the three points at stake.

“We had the lead in the next match”

Called to dissect the victory at the final whistle, Luis Enrique recognized that there was better to do in terms of manner. But he wasn’t choosy, because he knew it was difficult to be perfectly focused given the upcoming deadline. “ Reassured before Dortmund? I would say everyone had the lead going into the next game. It was difficult to play a home game. We have a more attractive match next Wednesday. It’s normal that tonight’s was difficult to play.”

The Spanish technician then looked ahead to the long-awaited opposition against Dortmund, next Wednesday in C1. “What do I expect from my players on Wednesday? The group will be the group that is aligned. We have our destiny in our hands. It will be like a final. It will depend on us and we will do everything to win,” he confided.

Luis Enrique confident for Wednesday

And when we ask him if there isn’t a little too much pressure on Paris before this crucial meeting, his answer is the following: “A lot of pressure ahead of this match on Wednesday? Yes, but a good amount of pressure. It’s the one we’ve wanted to have since we were little. I don’t think it will be a negative thing. »

Against the Germans, a result like that of this Saturday would be enough for the Parisians to be happy because it would ensure them both qualification and first place in their group.
