In the midst of a crisis in Ligue 2, the Greens were knocked out by Nîmes (0-1) at Geoffroy-Guichard during the 8th round of the Coupe de France.
Things are going bad for AS Saint-Etienne! In a difficult period in Ligue 2, with a series of five consecutive defeats which cost Laurent Batlles his place, the Greens experienced a new hiccup this Saturday during the 8th round of the Coupe de France.
At Geoffroy-Guichard, the Foréziens were taken out by the 13th National, Nîmes. It was midfielder Mathis Picouleau who scored the only goal of the match, in the 13th minute.

Saint-Etienne will have to react next weekend during a duel against the other monument in danger of Ligue 2, Bordeaux. The Girondins, for their part, avoided the trap by winning in Angoulême (0-1) this Saturday, thanks to Jean Marcelin (7th).
