Big slap for Manchester United

After a good month of November, Manchester United experienced a severe relapse with a rout against Bournemouth (0-3) at Old Trafford this Saturday.

And yet, everything was going better for Manchester United. Erik ten Hag has just been elected manager of the month in the Premier League, Harry Maguire silenced the critics by winning the player of the month trophy for November. In the event of a victory against Bournemouth this Saturday at Old Trafford, the Red Devils could temporarily come back to Manchester City, which was not a given after the men in red’s sluggish start to the season.

But now, Man Utd violently fell back into its failings by sinking against Bournemouth (0-3). Dominic Solanke quickly opened the scoring for the visitors (0-1, 5th), who were not too worried until the break. The Red Devils pushed at the start of the second half, notably with the entry of Hojlund in place of a too discreet Martial (56th), but it was Bournemouth who made the break.

And now Bayern

Holder in central defense in place of Raphaël Varane on whom Ten Hag definitely no longer counts at all, Luke Shaw missed a restart, before being beaten with a header in the process by Philip Billing (0-2, 68th ). And the Mancunian defense broke down again immediately after a corner where Marcos Senesi won (0-3, 73rd).

This is Man Utd’s sixth defeat of the season at Old Trafford, the third in a row by a score of 3-0 following victories by Man City and Newcastle here. And again, the 4-0 goal was refused to Dango Ouattara (90th + 2) for a handball which did not change much in the action. The humiliation is strong for the Red Devils who, in a few days, could be eliminated from all European competition if things go badly against Bayern Munich on Tuesday…
