Since the end of the summer transfer window, Bayern Munich has been looking for a fourth central defender to deal with the injury of Matthijs De Ligt, possibly absent until 2024. After sounding out several names, such as Raphaël Varane, the Bavarians launched an offensive to land Ronald Araujo (24 years old). Thomas Tuchel, who is a fan of the Uruguayan player, even called the central defender this Friday, as announced by the German press.

Information that the Catalan player’s clan has categorically denied, according to the latest information from Sport. Under contract until 2026 with Barça where he is essential in the eyes of Xavi, Ronald Araujo should be hard to dislodge from Catalonia, in particular because of his release clause estimated at 1 billion euros. In addition, the Catalan daily claims that Araujo is currently focused on his season with Barça and that his commitment to the Blaugrana club is total.
