While his former teammates have started their preparation for the new season, Thibaut Pinot is enjoying his new life. Removed from the pelotons since the last Tour of Lombardy, the former leader of Groupama-FDJ first took a fortnight’s vacation in the sun with friends before devoting himself to his goats and his farm. He was also able to go to the Parc des Princes to watch PSG, of which he is an absolute fan.
The former stage winner on the Tour de France particularly appreciates the work of the Ultras and also made a strong gesture towards them. He therefore decided to auction on eBay the jersey of the best climber of the Tour of Italy 2023, completed at the 5e place in the general classification, with the bib extra. And the amount collected will be donated to the Collectif Ultras Paris “to help us finance our end-of-year actions”said the CUP.
“For a very good cause and Christmas is coming”he wrote on Instagram to relay the operation while three days before the closing of the auction, the highest bid amounted to 705 euros.
Interviewed last winter in the columns of Ouest-France, Thibaut Pinot spoke of this love of PSG and his pleasure in going alongside the Ultras during these visits to the Park. “ It’s curious, I, who am very wild, can’t figure out why I feel so good in this forum.
