OL management has identified at least four players as potential reinforcements for the month of January.
Last in the Ligue 1 standings, OL are determined to use major means to save themselves during the month of January. Having received the green light from the DNCG to be able to recruit during this period, the Rhone club plans to invest between €50 and €60 million in new defectors.
OL wants to recruit smartly
Lyon does not yet have a new coach. Discussions are held with the technicians concerned but nothing has been done. However, the institution did not wait to appoint a new coach to draw up the list of players to recruit in the middle of the season. With the help of the new strong men of the club, Friio and Juninho, we have identified four elements to look for from the opening of the transfer window.
According to the daily L’Equipe, the players in question are Hugo Ekitiké (PSG), Nayef Aguerd and Said Benrahma (West Ham), Rade Krunic (AC Milan). With the exception of the last named, these players all have the common point of having played in Ligue 1. In addition, they are all in difficulty in their respective clubs and need to get back on their feet.
Cherki sacrificed
This group recruitment has a cost. And to have the necessary financial envelope, OL also plans to downsize. Thus, it would be a question of separating from Rayan Cherki. If a suitor presents himself with an envelope of 10 to 15 million euros then the international hopeful will be released. On the Groupama Stadium side, no one anymore believes in his ability to change and become the great footballer that his unparalleled talent led people to hope for.
