Gattuso lets loose on Ligue 1 level

During a press conference this Friday, Gennaro Gattuso was complimentary about the level of Ligue 1.

After having scored a third success in a row (in all competitions) against OL (3-0), Wednesday evening at the Vélodrome, Olympique de Marseille will try to make it four against Lorient, Sunday evening (8:45 p.m.), at on the occasion of the 15th day of Ligue 1.

On the sidelines of this meeting, Gennaro Gattuso was invited to appear before the media. Asked about the level of Ligue 1, the transalpine technician was full of praise. He notably compared the French championship to the Premier League.

“The L1 is a lot like the Premier League”

“I knew what to expect. The L1 has changed a lot on the tactical level, Gattuso said. Many coaches want possession, to press very high. I spoke with Amine Harit before the conference, I told him that the L1 is a lot like the Premier League. I knew L1 was like this. I expected that. It’s a championship that has progressed a lot.
