FC Barcelona gives news of Marc-André ter Stegen

As announced by the Spanish press on Thursday evening, German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen (31), who has been suffering from lower back pain for several weeks, underwent back surgery in France, after missing three meetings with the first team since mid-November, since replaced by Iñaki Peña (24 years old). FC Barcelona has just communicated about his state of health, without giving an exact duration of unavailability.

“First team player Marc-André ter Stegen has successfully undergone surgery for his lower back problems. The operation was carried out by Dr Amélie Léglise under the supervision of the club’s medical service at the Bordeaux Mérignac Sports Clinic. It is unavailable and its evolution will determine its availability.we can read in the press release from the current third in Liga, who will host their neighbor – in the ranking and geographically – Girona this Sunday evening (9 p.m.) for the 16th day of Liga.
