Former French coach Raymond Domenech judged Paul Pogba’s descent into hell with extreme severity.
Paul Pogba is at rock bottom and is unlikely to come out any time soon. The Italian anti-doping prosecution requested a four-year suspension against him after he consumed a banned product. His career could be over if this punishment is ever retained but that does not move Raymond Domenech.
“Pogba? Either he’s stupid or he’s conscious.”
The former coach suggested that if Pogba finds himself in such a critical situation then he only has himself to blame. “It’s cheating. We can find all the explanations we want to defend him, but in the end he took it and no one forced him.” he blurted out on the L’Equipe channel.
Domenech finds no mitigating circumstances in La Pioche, also suggesting that he was too stupid. “Is he at the bottom of the hole? So what ? 15, 20 years ago, guys didn’t know. Today they know it. The one who takes (banned products) is either stupid or unconscious. Too many problems in his life? And he thinks that by doping things will go smoothly and that he will relaunch his career? »

The ex-boss of the Blues was therefore merciless with Pogba. But he was also critical of Juventus, whom he blamed for abandoning his player. “What I find strange is that he is at a big club and he has not been taken care of. There had to be a follow-up. If a club is well structured, there is a minimum on this side. This is not a country club. There must be people listening. We left him in his corner without wondering how to give him hope.”
