OM’s next opponent in the Europa League will be without Ansu Fati, the winger on loan from FC Barcelona, for several months.

To avoid facing a team dropped from the Champions League in the play-off, OM must obtain at least one point next Thursday in Brighton. Gennaro Gattuso’s players lead Group B of the Europa League, ahead of the Seagulls, before the last day.

The English players must therefore win at home to ensure direct qualification for the round of 16 of the competition. Coach Roberto de Zerbi will do this without Ansu Fati, who is injured again.

The 21-year-old winger, on loan this season from FC Barcelona, was injured hamstring, November 25 against Nottingham Forest (3-2 – 13th day of the Premier League).

According to Brighton’s Italian coach, interviewed at a press conference on Friday, Ansu Fati will be absent for three months.
