PSG, a new shareholder arrives!

Arctos Partners, world leader in sports investment, is the new minority shareholder of PSG.

This Thursday, Paris Saint-Germain announced a minority stake in the investment fund Arctos Partners. This sale of a minority share of the capital club to American investors had been in the works for several months. However, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) keeps control of the decisions.

“Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) and Arctos Partners (Arctos) today announced a strategic partnership and investment agreement which will see Arctos acquire a minority stake in the capital of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the most titled from France and one of the biggest multi-sport brands in the world. For QSI, in addition to the arrival of a leading strategic partner and new investments to take the club to the next gear, the transaction with Arctos also symbolizes the incredible growth and appreciation of the value of PSG under the supervision of QSI for more than ten years, thus establishing a new benchmark in European football”we can read in a press release published by the Ile-de-France club.

If no official figure has been communicated, RMC Sport mentions a transaction worth 4.25 billion euros for a stake of 12.5%. In 2011, QSI bought PSG for a sum estimated at 70 million euros.
