Arriving in the summer of 2021 at Borussia Dortmund for a check for 30 million euros, Donyell Malen (24 years old) was not really able to reach the expected level. A failed first season, a second saved by a nice final sprint, this third exercise is correct if not flamboyant for the Dutchman (5 goals and 2 offerings in 18 matches). While his contract still runs until June 2026, a departure this summer could occur.
According to Sky Germany, the player would be open to a departure while the German club will not close the door on condition of receiving a minimum offer of 30 million euros in order to recover his stake. Preferring to play as a center forward or left winger, Donyell Malen would be unhappy with Edin Terzic’s decision to place him as a right winger.
