Granada have completed the sale of Bryan Zaragoza to Bayern Munich. The recently-capped Spain international will remain with Los Nazaries until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old winger has had an excellent start to the La Liga season, despite Granada’s poor run in the standings. Five goals and two assists in 14 appearances, including an excellent brace against Barcelona, prompted Spain to call up Zaragoza for their first cap in October.
According to Sport, FC Barcelona wanted to sign Zaragoza , but did not give him guarantees and wanted to reach an agreement this summer, when his release clause would have been reduced to 7 million euros, instead of 14 million. Meanwhile, Brentford, RB Leipzig and Atletico Madrid were also in the market for the speedy winger.
According to Diario AS, Bayern will pay more than their release clause. The transaction will be done for 15 million euros plus 2 million euros in variables, while Zaragoza will still be there to try to keep Granada safe until the end of the season. He will join Bayern in the summer, with a contract until 2029.
